Double sexist crime in Formentera: one woman murdered and another stabbed.
The events took place this Sunday and the Civil Guard is investigating the causes.

PalmThe Civil Guard is investigating the murder of an Italian woman this Sunday for alleged domestic violence in Formentera, according to sources from the armed forces and the Spanish government's Delegation against Gender Violence.
The woman was stabbed by her partner at around 8:30 a.m., according to reports. Ibiza Diary, which details that both are Italian, residents of the smaller Pitiusa and that she was the mother of a child from another couple. Agents from the Judicial Police of Persons and Laboratory teams have moved this Sunday morning to the island, where they work to clarify the circumstances of the femicide.
The Government Delegation against Gender Violence is gathering data on the murder of the 45-year-old woman in Formentera. This is what the department has reported in a message published on its social network account X hours after the woman's death.
Prime Minister Marga Prohens condemned the alleged gender-based murder on social media. Prohens expressed her support to the victim's family and friends "in this painful moment" and stated that any form of violence against women cannot be tolerated.
Another woman injured in stabbing
A 35-year-old woman has been stabbed by her partner in the Els Pujols area. The attacker was arrested by the Civil Guard and is awaiting judicial review, according to the armed forces and the 061 (National Police).
This incident was reported at 11:32 a.m. when, for reasons under investigation, the 27-year-old man stabbed her. Both are of Colombian origin. Due to the severity of the injury, the woman was transferred by medical helicopter from the 061 (National Police Service) to Son Espases University Hospital.
The woman was initially evacuated by taxi to Formentera Hospital, but the vehicle was intercepted upon arrival by an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance, where paramedics provided initial assistance. Later, due to the severity of her injuries, she was transferred by medical helicopter to Son Espases.
Just over 24 hours after the attack, the woman remains hospitalized in Son Espases and is stable despite the severity of her injuries.
