PalmMÁS por Palma criticized this Wednesday that the PP "continues to not pay the aid for the 2024-2025 academic year so that families can pay for a 0-3 kindergarten," a situation that the spokesperson for the party in Cort, Neus Truyol, described as "outrageous, unacceptable, and absolutely unacceptable."

According to the party, once the academic year ended, families have had to pay the cost of this service out of their own pockets, which allows children "to access education from a young age, especially those families with fewer resources."

In this sense, Truyol has accused the City Council of being "focused on pharaonic projects, while public services are degraded." She also recalled that in March they had already publicly denounced that the aid was not being called for and that, despite the promises, "the PP has once again demonstrated its inability to manage Cort."

The councilor also linked this situation to the labor dispute at municipal daycare centers. "During this school year, we have experienced a workers' strike that has been unnecessarily prolonged due to a lack of political will to negotiate," she criticized.

For Truyol, all this shows that the PP "does not believe in public services" and that the delay means "harming 650 families who are entitled to financial assistance." MÁS por Palma warned that the current economic situation, marked by rising housing prices, the rising cost of living, and low wages, "is stifling many homes." They believe that the delay in aid "is creating serious difficulties for families, who have had to accumulate debt to pay for daycare." Truyol thus demanded that the City Council "act now" and argued that "no child should be left without assistance due to the incompetence of the PP."
