Serious accident between a boat and a catamaran in Ibiza
A woman was seriously injured and one of the boats sank.

PalmA woman has been seriously injured in a head-on collision between two boats on the beach of Cala d'Hort, in the Ibizan municipality of San José de Sa Atalaya, according to SAMU 061. The injured woman was the catamaran's captain, who was taken to Can Misses Hospital in an 061 Advanced Life Support ambulance with multiple injuries and a reserved prognosis. The rest of the people sailing on the catamaran were rescued with minor injuries and also taken to Can Misses Hospital for initial assessment.
To deal with the incident, SAMU 061 mobilized an Advanced Life Support unit, a Basic Life Support unit, and a Rapid Intervention Vehicle.
The causes of the accident are currently being investigated.
