PalmaThe activists who were arrested last July for having painted several real estate agencies in Santa Maria will testify next Tuesday before the courts of Palma. The women, arrested on July 15th following several complaints for the damages caused to the establishments, have been summoned at 9:30 a.m. by the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 12.

The summons was issued after their lawyer requested it, according to a recent provision to which Europa Press has had access. The two investigated individuals had exercised their right not to testify both at the Civil Guard facilities and before the court after being arrested, and were subsequently released.

Under investigation for damages and against historical heritage

The two activists were arrested in mid-July as alleged perpetrators of crimes of damage and against historical heritage. The investigation began after several complaints regarding the vandalism of five real estate agencies in the Majorcan municipality.

Tuesday's appearance will allow the suspects to testify before the court regarding the events for which they were arrested, after they chose not to testify during the initial proceedings. Both women remain under investigation for the incidents, which affected five real estate establishments in Santa Maria del Camí.
