They arrest a mother for leaving her small child alone and without food for hours

PalmaThe National Police arrested a woman from Palma last week as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of child abandonment for having left her young son for many hours without food and alone during the night. The force explained this Tuesday that a relative of the detainee reported that the mother was not taking care of her son's basic needs and that she spent long periods of time without attending to her son, even leaving him for many hours without food and without worrying about his condition.

Likewise, the woman had allegedly left the minor alone in the bathtub and without any type of supervision and had spent the night out until she returned to the home the following day. The complainant also pointed out that the mother habitually insulted the minor with insults such as "asshole", "shitty little brat" or would tell him "shut up". The agents confirmed that the home, located in the center of Palma, presented deficient sanitary conditions, as it accumulated objects and trash. For all these reasons, they arrested the woman for a crime of child abandonment.
