The PP leader confirmed this in an interview with Antena 3.With this choice, Feijóo places a member of his most trusted core in the position that carries the organic weight of the party and that until now was held by Cuca Gamarra, who on Monday already announced that she would not repeat after the PP congress this weekend. Notice to Alejandro Fernández

The solo amendment by the leader of the Catalan PP, Alejandro Fernández, to veto the pacts with the sovereignists, which has caused discontent among the populars of the Principality, has also received a response from the leader of the state PP, who just yesterday asked Tellado to open a round of contacts with Sánchez's parliamentary allies to explore the possibilities of a motion of censure. Asked explicitly about this issue, Feijóo issued a warning: "The report makes our position perfectly clear; it's a very well-structured and documented report," he emphasized.

He also made it clear that he now accepts the current wording, which does not veto agreements with nationalists: "I completely agree with the text of the report." In this regard, several sources consulted by ARA have indicated in recent days that they did not believe the state leadership would reach an agreement on this uncomfortable amendment, but sources close to Fernández are confident in this and maintain that they will reach an agreement no later than Friday morning. If no agreement is reached, Fernández could defend his position in the plenary session of Congress, which would force him to take center stage. This element is also not viewed favorably from the headquarters on Génova Street in Madrid.
