Man arrested in Palma for a serious assault involving a bite to the ear in La Indioteria

PalmNational Police officers in Palma have arrested a man as the suspected perpetrator of a serious assault, after he attacked another man with punches and bit his ear, causing a wound that required 15 stitches. The incident occurred on December 22nd in the Indioteria neighborhood, when the victim dropped off a friend with her motorcycle in front of a business. As they said goodbye, a man suddenly jumped in front of him and began punching him. According to the National Police, the victim tried to defend himself by grabbing the assailant's arms, at which point the attacker violently bit his ear, causing severe bleeding that allowed him to flee the scene. Later, the woman explained to the victim that the alleged attacker was her ex-partner, a very jealous person, which may have motivated the attack. The injured man had to be treated at a hospital, where he received 15 stitches in his ear. After he filed a complaint, the West District Investigation Group began an investigation to identify the perpetrator. Finally, officers located the man and arrested him this Tuesday as the suspected perpetrator of an assault.
