The Director General of the Civil Service resigns two months after the change of counselor

PalmThe Director General of the Civil Service, Antoni Mesquida, resigned this week, two months after the government reshuffle that appointed Catalina Cabrer as Minister of Labor. According to sources from the Regional Ministry, he submitted his resignation, which Cabrer accepted, citing personal reasons.

The current managing director of the Balearic School of Public Administration (EBAP), Violeta Rodríguez, is expected to succeed Mesquida. The Civil Service department was under the Ministry of the Presidency, led by Antònia Estarellas, until the president, Marga Prohens, decided to move the department to Treball. The Ministry was tasked with developing the measures of the Sustainability Pact in collaboration with unions and employers' associations. Cabrero is also responsible for developing the Conciliation Law. Estarellas, for her part, also assumes the portfolios of Government Action Coordination and Local Cooperation.
