The PSOE (Spanish Socialist Workers' Party) criticizes the right for claiming that more than half of the Balearic Islands' foreigners are European during the immigration debate in the Senate.

PalmPSIB-PSOE senator Milena Herrera criticized the Popular Party for being bothered by being labeled racists but not acting accordingly. She reproached them for the fact that, in the case of the Balearic Islands, Prime Minister Marga Prohens made a "big announcement" during the general policy debate about tightening access to the lava requirement.

"I and the Socialist Party won't tell them about it because this measure is racist and exclusionary. The Network for Inclusion of the Balearic Islands has publicly explained this to them, warning them that if they take this step, they will condemn thousands of people to further exclusion," Herrera points out.

In this sense, he criticizes the PP for combining the measure in relation to the guaranteed social income with the population increase in the Balearic Islands during the debate and cites the ARA Baleares report, which notes that half are Northern Europeans. "The data exposes the falsity of this narrative," the island senator points out.
