PalmaThe National Police have arrested a man for allegedly assaulting a worker at Palma airport, whom he reportedly caused to fracture both wrists following a conflict in the check-in area.

The events took place at the beginning of September, when the worker was in the check-in area and observed a passenger skipping the queue, according to information provided by the National Police. The worker indicated to him that he had to wait and, faced with this instruction, the man reportedly reacted violently. "If you touch me, I will break your face," the passenger allegedly told him before pushing him. As a result of the push, the worker fell to the ground and fractured both wrists.

The investigation based on security cameras

After the assault, the worker filed a complaint. The investigation group at the Palma airport border post took charge of the proceedings to try to clarify the circumstances of the events and identify the alleged perpetrator.

The agents reviewed the airport's security cameras and took statements from several witnesses. These efforts allowed them to identify and locate the person allegedly responsible for the assault. Finally, last Friday, the agents arrested the man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of causing bodily harm. The arrest does not imply a declaration of guilt, which will have to be determined, if applicable, by the judicial authority.
