PalmaThe Local Police of Palma is investigating a driver who overturned his vehicle while nearly quadrupling the alcohol limit and driving without ever having obtained a driver's license. The events occurred on April 2nd in Palma.

According to the police, the accident occurred around 8:40 PM on Josep Melià street, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a parked car. As a result of the impact, this vehicle was displaced and hit a third one, while the alleged perpetrator's car ended up overturned in the middle of the road.

A patrol from the Accident Vehicle Unit (UVAC) went to the scene and upon arrival, the officers observed obvious signs of intoxication in the driver. After subjecting him to the breathalyzer test, he gave a positive result of 0.95 mg/l, almost four times higher than the permitted limit. Furthermore, during the intervention, the officers verified that the man, a 30-year-old Venezuelan citizen, had never obtained a driving license.

For these facts, the driver has been investigated as the alleged perpetrator of two crimes against road safety: one for driving under the influence of alcohol and another for driving without a license
