The City Council responds to Orgull Llonguet: "They have not submitted to the call"
Cort maintains that the logistic and technical support for the festival remains the same as in previous editions
PalmaThe Palma City Council has responded today to the announcement by Orgull Llonguet regarding the suspension of the organization of Canamunt and Canavall and has assured that it has not modified its support for the festival. The City Council states that, as every year, the management of the festival is carried out through a public call in which the entity presents its proposals, among which the Canamunt and Canavall proposal was usually included.
According to Cort, the call was published on June 11 and, to date, Orgull Llonguet has not submitted any proposal. Furthermore, it maintains that the entity also did not communicate to the City Council the decision to renounce the organization of the festival nor the difficulties that, as it explained in the statement made public this Tuesday, have led it to take "a step back". In fact, the Participation area assures that it learned of the news "from the press".
The City Council argues that it continues to offer the same municipal resources as in previous editions to make the event possible, including access to the Cort balcony, Emaya services, the presence of the Local Police, the necessary infrastructure, and the corresponding self-protection plan.
