PalmMarta Sastre suffered a transphobic attack and threats from several National Police officers in Palma. The incident, which the victim has already reported to Palma's Investigative Court No. 6, occurred last Tuesday on Sant Miquel Street.

According to the woman who reported the police action, the attack occurred after she responded to what she considered disproportionate action by Local and National Police officers in restraining a man who was bothering pedestrians due to his intoxication.

Marta, who was passing by when the officers arrived, saw seven police officers approaching the man and taking him to the ground to restrain him. Once on the ground, one of the officers—who was a trainee at the time—kept his knee on his neck, even though he was already restrained and handcuffed. In response, Marta decided to record the police action. She approached them to reprimand them for overreacting and asked them to take their knee off her neck.

Then, the national police officers charged at her, and one of them started pushing her and said, "Stop messing with your necks." Marta asked for his badge number, and at that moment the officer replied, "Do you want to see the badge number?"

The same officer struggled with her until he threw her to the ground and then grabbed her with his arm behind her back and cornered her against a wall on the Polvo coast. At the same moment, another officer grabbed Marta's bag, which had fallen in the struggle. They responded. Later, a police officer threw her wallet on the ground and, as her personal cards fell, they told her, "Pick all this up."
